Please have the following to hand to complete your application:

  • Your address details for the last 3 years
  • Your bank or building society details
  • Your employer's name and address
  • Your and your partner’s (if applicable) net monthly income (after tax)
  • Your monthly mortgage or rental payment amount (the whole amount not just your individual contribution)
  • The details of your other credit or storecards if you would like to apply for a Balance Transfer
  • A pen and paper to write down your application reference number and any temporary card details

To apply for a card you should:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Have a regular source of income
  • Have a UK bank or building society account (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man)
  • Be a permanent resident of the UK (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man)
  • Be able to provide at least one landline telephone number and a valid email address

Subject to status. Applicants for credit must be aged 18 or over and UK resident (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands).

*Balance Transfer. Subject to eligibility, availability of funds and Account terms and conditions. You can balance transfer up to 90% of your available credit limit. Balance transfers from existing Mastercard and storecard accounts issued by Creation Financial Services and Mastercard and storecards issued by Creation Financial Services Limited are not permitted. Minimum value for balance transfer is £50. If we don’t receive at least your minimum payment before the due date each month, or you exceed your credit limit in any month, you’ll lose your promotional rate.

**Some independent cash machine providers may charge for a withdrawal and interest will be charged at the rate from the date of the transactions until it is paid in full.

  • Can I change my payment due date?

    Unfortunately we are unable to currently change your payment due date.

  • Can I choose the date on which I wish to pay my bill?

    Yes, you can. Your payment due date can be the 1st, 10th, 21st or 26th of the month. If you’d like to change your payment due date, please call us on 0371 376 9253.

  • Can I use my card online?

    Yes, just look out for the MasterCard name or logo in the payment options.

  • Can I withdraw cash using my card?

    You can withdraw cash from any ATM that displays the MasterCard sign both in the UK and abroad. Please see the Terms and Conditions for the charges payable. The cash machine may also charge a fee.

  • Does the card have an annual fee?

    The current fee is £0 (variable).

  • How do I make payments on my card account?

    The quickest way to make a payment to us is using the Online Account Manager or through your bank’s telephone or internet banking. You can also make payments to us over the phone, by bank giro or by cheque. There are more details of how to do this in the Online Account Manager and on your monthly statement.

  • How long will it be before I am charged interest on purchases?

    Depending on your statement date and when you make your purchase and your statement date, you can have up to 50 days without paying interest if you make the monthly payment in full and on time each month.

  • How long will it take to complete the application?

    An application takes about 10 minutes to complete. Please have the following to hand when making your application:

    • your address details for the last 3 years
    • your bank or building society details
    • your employers name
    • the details of your other credit or store cards if you would like to apply for a Balance Transfer
    • a pen and paper to write down your application reference number

  • How long will it take to get a decision?

    When you submit your application you will receive an instant decision.

  • How will I know how much I owe?

    You’ll receive a monthly statement detailing the transactions made on your card, how much you need to pay and when your payment due date is. You can receive paper statements through the post, or you can choose to receive eStatements using My Account. 

  • Is applying online secure?

    Yes. Our application process uses industry standard security protocols and 128 bit SSL encryption. This prevents your personal details from being viewed by anyone else.

  • What are the APRs for the card?

    Please see the Summary Information link on the apply page of the application process for details of the full range of APRs for the card.

  • What happens if I don't pay my account in full each month?

    After making the minimum repayment on your account, it is up to you to decide on how much more to pay. Any balance that's unpaid will be carried forward and will show on next month's statement along with any interest that's accrued. If you only make the minimum payment each month it will cost you more.

  • What is the minimum monthly payment I need to make?

    You must pay either a minimum monthly payment equal to 1% of the Principal amount owing as shown on your Statement along with any outstanding Interest, charges and fees, or £5, whichever is the greater, within 20 days of the Statement Date. You can pay us more than the minimum if you want but if your Outstanding Balance is less than £5 you must pay your Outstanding Balance in full. If you only make the minimum payment each month it will cost you more.

  • What should I do if I lose my card?

  • Where can I use my card?

    You can use your card in over 34 million locations Worldwide, anywhere you see the MasterCard sign.

  • Who is eligible to apply for a card?

    UK residents aged 18 years and over with a UK bank or building society account. You will need to provide a mobile or home telephone number and have a regular source of income through full-time or part-time employment of more than 16 hours per week, or be a student, retired or on incapacity benefit. Finally, you need to have a clean credit history, i.e., no arrears, defaults, County Court Judgments (CCJs), bankruptcies or Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs).

  • Will I be able to use my card as soon as it arrives?

    For security, you will first need to sign the back of the card and then activate it by calling us on the number shown on your card.
